A subspecies of Roptera, the Lantern Ear Roptera utilizes the bioluminescence to attract insects directly to its own face that it has a particularly easy time eating. It's advanced hearing helps alert it when to amplify the intensity of its life to guide insects that are further away. The males have dimmer ears than their female counterparts, making it harder to hunt in comparison and stunts their growth.
