Appearing to walk across the ocean floor, Horsei have spiny scales that lock onto other creatures and secrete digestive fluids to begin digesting their meals externally. While it does not have a traditional mouth, they suck back the liquified flesh back in through their scales to get the nutrients out of it. The females are traditionally about double the length of the males that can reach up to fifteen centimeters long.
