The Korare lives at the bottom of the ocean in underground lakes known as brine pools. The brine has so much salt in it, it forms a much denser body of water that even has its own waves. Being so deep underwater where no light is visible, its eyes have adapted to see bioluminescence underwater and feeds on sea creatures that swim above the brine pool's surface.
